My 1973 FJ55LG

FJ55

I purchased this Pig for $400 with an engine that the previous owner said, "It died on the freeway, but it didn't make any noise."
Yea right!!! Anyway, I would have rebuilt the 2F had the block and crank not been destroyed. I have bought a Chevy 350 that has only 2000 miles on it for $100! Best deal ever on an engine. My brother worked at a GM dealer in the parts dept. at the time. A customer had a crate engine put into his '96 chevy pickup. The shop couldn't get it to run right with out pinging. So, the customer wanted a new engine put in. They did that under warranty and the engine they took out became a core at that point. GM only wanted $100 for the core so my brother set it aside and took it before anyone else. (Fall 2005-Summer 2006)

So, summer of 2006 has passed and the Pig still sits in my yard, lonely and unable to move under its own power. I have all the things to make it run now, except for the time. I parted out my 78 K20 to gain needed parts to get it running and to also pickup some cash for things like drivelines. Now, all I can do is go to school and hope that this winter isn't too bad so I can work outside to put the engine in.
